For Sale at Auction: 1956 Ford F100 in Scottsdale, Arizona

Completed in 2005, this 1956 Ford F-100 custom pickup known as "F-This" was built by Jordan Quintal of Super Rides with involvement from Chip Foose and previously displayed in the Petersen Automotive Museum collection. Power is provided by a 540ci Chevrolet big-block V8 engine based on a 502ci platform that was machined, bored and stroked, and comprehensively rebuilt in August 2022 by Blue Monkey Performance using a brand-new four-bolt main block with a 9.8-inch deck height and a fully balanced rotating assembly. Internal components include a forged steel crankshaft with a 4.25-inch stroke, forged H-beam connecting rods with ARP bolts, forged pistons, a 9.0:1 compression ratio, Total Seal piston rings, a hydraulic roller camshaft with wide lobe separation and a double-row timing set. The engine is topped with AFR rectangular-port cylinder heads fitted with 2.25-inch intake valves and 1.88-inch exhaust valves, matched performance valve springs with dampeners, roller rocker arms, rocker studs, hardened adjustable guide plates and hardened 3/8-inch pushrods. Lubrication is handled by a Melling oil pump with a steel driveshaft and welded pickup. The engine was assembled with individual components painted prior to final assembly and delivered complete with oil pan, timing cover, harmonic balancer, valve covers and intake manifold installed. Power is transmitted through a 5-speed manual transmission. The interior features a fully reworked tan leather cabin with a custom dashboard layout, updated air-conditioning components and a modern JL Audio sound system installed during recent refurbishment work. Finished in Sunburst Yellow, the exterior incorporates extensive custom metalwork including a sectioned cowl, a 3-inch chopped roof, suicide doors, widened and raised rear fenders, and a revised front-end layout that moves the wheels forward. Both the hood and bed are hydraulically operated. Recent refurbishment totaling approximately $143,000 includes the engine rebuild, new exhaust system, updated air-conditioning components and stereo system upgrades.
