This 1965 Backdraft Roadster is powered by a VMS Ford Racing 427ci
V8 engine with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection producing
585hp, mated to a Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission with an
upgraded twin-disc clutch. It was built and completed by Vintage
Motorsports in 2022. Finished in Pepper White over a black leather
interior, this roadster was inspired by a more authentic
presentation and features Kirkham front and rear bumpers, AC front
and rear badging, aluminum AC pedals, 427 Cobra valve covers, LED
Cobra-style taillights, an original-style shift lever with lockout
and traditional 427 SC fender badges. Additional upgrades include a
painted and chromed engine compartment, solid aluminum engine
mounts, aluminum radiator and shroud, ceramic-coated headers,
aluminum fuel tank with internal fuel pump, cam-lock harnesses with
silver hardware, AutoMeter gauges, upgraded cooling fans, VMS oil
cooler with shroud and thermostat, and a VMS turkey pan assembly.
It has been stored in a climate-controlled garage since completion.
