This 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 is powered by its original 429ci V8
engine with the original oil-cooler setup, paired with its original
matching-numbers close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. It
retains the original transmission ID tag, original engine ID tag
and original 3.91 Traction-Lok differential. Finished in Black Jade
over a black interior, this example was completed in Dearborn, MI,
in 1969 and was assigned KK No. 1649. A California car for
virtually its entire life, it is stated to retain 100% of its
original sheet metal and features desirable factory equipment,
including a remote mirror, trunk light, competition suspension,
power steering, power brakes and a functional hood scoop.
Additional highlights include a red oxide undercarriage, correct
smog system, date-coded glass, a working AM radio, correct Goodyear
F60-15 Polyglas tires, and the original spare and jack.
Documentation includes the original Build Sheet, original warranty
card, original quality control sheet, a copy of the sales invoice
and a Marti Report. One of 850 produced and one of 162 finished in
Black Jade, this Boss 429 was purchased new by Willard Kendig,
inventor of the Kendig Variable Venturi carburetor made famous
through Dyno Don Nicholson's drag racing wins.
