1972 Pontiac LeMans HO Conv - Well here it is, the '72 GTO Conv that Pontiac should have made but GM never built! TRUE "L-75 option" 455-HO convertible loaded with tons of desirable options and fully backed by PHS documentation. 1 of only 33 examples produced and very few known to still exist today. Majority of people don't know that the popular GTO nameplate WAS NOT available in convertible form for the 1972 model year, therefore, this was your way of getting one. Most of these cars were special ordered and also came in under the radar as an "insurance beater". This fine example has received a complete frame-off restoration and was previously owned by the meticulously renowned "Hendrik Performance Collection". Appropriately powered by it's numbers-matching 455-4bbl H.O. motor and correct TH-400 automatic transmission with correct 12-bolt rear and upgraded Eaton "Sure-Trac" 3.73 posi-setup. Factory equipped with the special "unitized" ignition distributor setup, power steering, power disc brakes up front and the heavy duty sport suspension package which has been updated with new Bilstein shocks all the way around. Car rides outstanding and really looks the part on a new set of 17" YEAR ONE Rally-II replica wheels but the original 15" PMD Rally-II wheels mounted on wide-oval tires are also available for a more stock appearance. Exterior is show quality finished in the factory code-correct shade of "Wilderness Green" metallic with factory optioned Ram Air hood, rear decklid spoiler and the "Endura Sport" styling kit. Laser straight body with excellent lines and gaps from front to back. Factory black power top works with ease at the push of a button, all original Soft-Ray tinted glass windows roll up/down nicely and all the lights/signals work properly. Interior contrasts beautifully in the factory code-correct light tan vinyl interior with bucket seats, center console, matching full-length carpet and rubber floor mats. Interior is super clean with barely any signs of wear or tear. Factory optioned with the Rally Gauge pac, tachometer, tilt column, sport steering wheel, woodgrain trim and A/C which has been updated to the R-134 system. A new RetroSound AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo system has also been added for your listening pleasure. Engine bay is nicely detailed to a factory-spec look and the underside is very clean as well.
