The numbers-matching Stage 1 455 ci V8 was underrated at 360 horsepower but delivered more than 500 ft-lbs of torque, thanks to its 10.5:1 compression, high-lift camshaft, four-barrel carburetor, big-valve heads and unique Stage 1 performance calibrations. Adding to its extreme desirability, this car was loaded with options from new, including factory air conditioning - a rarely seen feature on a four-speed Stage 1 convertible.
