This custom 1979 Ford F-250 crew-cab four-wheel-drive pickup is
equipped with the Ranger Package and is powered by a replacement
460ci V8 engine paired with 3-speed automatic transmission and a
dual-range transfer case. The truck was acquired in 2021 and a
cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment was performed. The work
included a bare metal sandblast, repainting the exterior in
metallic Root Beer and Hugger Orange, and installing a freshly
built engine. The 360 has a Comp Cam and springs valve lift,
rebuilt heads, mill, valve guides, stem seals, spring shims,
Edelbrock Torker II intake, Holley Sniper EFI, Holley fuel tank
with internal electric fuel pump, Hooker Super Competition headers,
a new 2.5-inch exhaust and an AFR Racing pushrod guideplate. The
interior received a full refresh, including carpet, rubber and
seats, and aftermarket audio components were installed. Additional
equipment includes a rear receiver hitch, 18-inch black wheels, air
conditioning, 35-inch tires, towing mirrors, chrome bumpers and a
sliding rear window. Window tint film has been applied to the
glass, and the windshield and rear window were replaced during the
refurbishment. A spray-in liner has been applied to the bed. The
truck is equipped with manual locking front hubs and Dana 60 front
and rear differentials. An interior refresh included replacing the
seat belts, reupholstering the rear bench seat and a custom console
with dual cup holders. Additional work performed during the
refurbishment included replacing the wiper motor, heater core,
blower fan and motor, condenser coil, evaporator coil, air
compressor, hoses and rebuilding the radiator. The truck was
originally a two-wheel-drive and was professionally converted using
a Highboy frame and equipment.
