This 1968 Ford Mustang Bullitt re-creation is a fresh rotisserie-restored fastback conversion created to pay homage to the Steve McQueen "Bullitt" classic. It was carefully restored to accurately replicate all the unique original movie car details. The entire restoration process was photo-documented, and the album is included with the car. The driveline consists of a freshly rebuilt Ford FE 428ci big-block engine mated to a factory-correct Toploader 4-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch rear end. The engine still has break-in oil, and there are only shakedown miles on the restoration. This Bullitt is straight and solid, and its all-steel body has great panel fit and gaps. It was professionally finished in the Bullitt-correct Highland Green paint, and all the exterior trim is new. It is equipped with power front disc brakes, power steering and functional hood-mounted turn signals. The interior is in as-new condition and is factory-correct. It has a Hurst 4-speed shifter, factory fold-down rear seat, deluxe wood-grain interior, correct three-spoke steering wheel with a GT500 center cap, 8,000-rpm tachometer and a functional clock and radio. This Bullitt re-creation was painstakingly restored to correctly replicate the unique nuances of both Bullitt cars used in the movie. The signal light and side marker bezels are painted in the body color, the exterior antenna and passenger side mirror have been removed, it has the dual-exhaust rear valance with single exhaust tips, the rear tail panel is blacked out, it has rear backup light delete, the rear gas cap is blacked out, and the fender and grille emblems have been removed. It rides on brand-new Torq Thrust-style rims and tires. The engine compartment is highly detailed, down to the decals and smallest details. In addition, it comes with a Bullitt/Steve McQueen movie poster, prop plates, a separate full-size movie poster display for car shows and a full start-to-finish build book with photos of the rotisserie restoration.
