This 1962 Lincoln Continental custom convertible is powered by a
rebuilt 430ci V8 engine paired with a rebuilt 3-speed automatic
transmission. This factory-built suicide-door convertible was
originally finished in black over black leather and built at the
Wixom, MI, plant on October 31, 1961. It was factory-equipped with
power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, a six-way
power seat and factory air conditioning that has been converted to
R134a. The vehicle underwent a full professional restoration
completed in 2012 with more than $150,000 invested, along with an
additional $25,000 in aftermarket upgrades. The body was
professionally prepared with attention to panel straightness and
proper gaps. In 2025, the engine and transmission were rebuilt, and
the car received a new exhaust system, new shocks and a full
service at a cost of over $41,000. Suspension has been upgraded to
a custom air-ride system with dual chrome-mounted air tanks. The
exterior retains its factory appearance and is fitted with 20-inch
Detroit Steel Smoothie wheels with original center caps and wrapped
in new Diamond Back whitewall tires. Cabin features include a
professionally reupholstered black leather interior with carpeting,
along with a factory-style Bluetooth radio and custom speakers
designed to maintain an authentic appearance. The convertible is
equipped with a Stayfast cloth top that has been recently serviced
and operates properly. The vehicle is a Black Plate California car
originally from Beverly Hills. 84,078 miles (title reads exempt).
