Introduced in 1946, The D24 was the top trim level in the Dodge
range of cars, bigger than Plymouths counterparts. All models were
powered by the 230 cubic inch six-cylinder engine with a 3-speed
manual, while the "Fluid Drive" was an option which provided a
smoother "no metal-to-metal contact between the power source and
drive. This particular really cool example still retains its
original paint with excellent patina with fading and dulling in
spots. This car is largely original throughout with the exception
of a newer top. The top is hydraulically powered and the top does
go up and down with some help. This D24 starts up, idles and goes
through the gears as it should and goes down the road as it should.
The lights and gauges work, the brakes are decent and is all-around
a really decent post-war convertible classic. We welcome any
