1927 Indian "Eight Valve" Board Track Racer in Mt. Dora, Florida

Vehicle Description

Late 1920's Indian Board Track Racer-Tribute. Production motorcycles, like this, were stripped down for Racing on a 2x4 split board track. Banked at 45-60 degrees, top speeds would reach 100 mph or better, depending on the cc's of the motor. The wood tracks splintered and many competitors would get shard's of wood stuck in their faces and boots. "Safety equipment" was nothing more then aviator leather head gear, high boots, googles and a leather jacket. Men were true "Dare Ddevils". This tribute motorcycle was displayed in the Mount Dora Museum of Speed, near Orlando, which closed August, 2019 after 20 years, when the 74 yr.old owner retired. (Some items in museum display not included). Bike: $3900. Call (352) 217-9868 or write [email protected]
