distinguish it as a more luxurious model, such as specific paint
and striping options for this final model year before the third
generation was introduced in 1982. The Berlinetta's focus on a
premium driving experience meant several comfort-oriented items
were included as standard equipment: Quiet Sound Group: The car
featured extensive sound insulation blankets in the doors, roof,
rear quarters, and under the carpeting to minimize outside noise,
making it the quietest Camaro model. Custom Interior: The
Berlinetta included a standard custom interior with unique trim and
soft, contoured bucket seats. Special Instrumentation: A full gauge
package, which included a tachometer, voltmeter, temperature gauge,
and an electric clock, was standard equipment. Deep Twist
Carpeting: Luxurious "deep twist" carpeting added a high-end feel
to the floor and lower door panels. Dual Horns: It featured dual
horns, a small but notable upgrade in the effort to enhance
perceived quality Optional Luxury Upgrades Buyers could further
customize their Berlinetta with a variety of comfort and
convenience options shared across the Camaro line up such as T-Tops
for a near open-air driving experience while maintaining structural
rigidity, these removable T-tops, like on this particular example,
were a popular choice The model also sported unique 14x7-inch
finned aluminum wheel with gold accenting and a 'Berlinetta' center
cap. Its own lower-body pinstriping, gold 'Berlinetta' badging, and
headlamp pockets were painted in an accent color. The taillights
got a gold and black horizontal divider bar. The interior came
standard with custom cloth interior, a rear storage well cover, and
additional carpeting on rear wheelhouses. It also came standard
with additional body insulation and full instrumentation. This is
one very rare and low mileage example of a last year of the second
generation, 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta 2 Door Coupe with the
305 5.0L V8 engine and only 21k original miles! You will look long
and hard to find a finer example, with a clean Carfax to confirm
the car's low mileage and no history of any accidents.
