1960 Chevrolet 283/290 Fuelie in Scottsdale, Arizona
The 1960 Chevrolet Corvette 283/290 "Fuelie" convertible is powered
by a 283ci fuel-injected engine rated at 290hp, paired with a
4-speed manual transmission. This example received an invitation to
the 2004 New Hampshire International Speedway Concours d'Elegance,
where it underwent full judging and evaluation by a concours judge
familiar with the Corvette platform. Following the event's review
process, the car was selected for the winner's circle, marking the
first time a Corvette had received that distinction at this show.
It was awarded First Place in the Sports Car division and was also
presented with the People's Choice award for Best of Show.
