upholstery. The car is additionally outfitted with a Cherry Bomb
exhaust system, American Racing 14? wheels, drum brakes, quad
headlights, sculpted side panels, and a push-button AM radio.
Interior:
The front and rear bench seats are trimmed in red vinyl that
extends to the door panels and are accented by a color-coordinated
dashboard and carpets. Black rubber floor mats protect the carpets,
and front lap belts, a cabin heater, front vent windows, a
push-button AM radio, and a dome light are also present. The
Comet-branded red steering wheel frames a sweeping 120-mph
speedometer as well as gauges for fuel level, oil pressure,
amperage, and coolant temperature.
Exterior:
Finished from the factory in Polar White (M), the car was repainted
in its current shade of red under prior ownership. Exterior details
include quad headlights, a chrome grille and bumpers, sculpted side
panels, three-spot taillight housings, fender-mounted 202 badges
and faux portals, a single exhaust outlet, and a hidden fuel filler
cap in the rear fascia. The American Racing 14? wheels are mounted
with 185/70 front and 205/70 rear Classiro GT tires showing 2002
date codes. Stopping is handled by four-wheel drum brakes.
Drivetrain:
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted
three-speed manual transmission and an open rear differential with
