*1990 Land Rover Defender 110*The Land Rover Defender is world
renowned as one of the all-time great off-road vehicles. With its
two-speed transfer case, torquey engines and robust all-wheel drive
systems, the Defender became the do-everything car for a large
swath of England upon its debut. They are no doubt great cars but
they were never really built for luxury, in light of that, numerous
business have set up to enhance them and make them comfortable and
usable every day in the 21st century. This 1990 Land Rover Defender
was purchased by the consignor through Northwest Defenders in Gig
Harbor, WA in 2020. Sourced out of the UK, before the car came back
stateside, Northwest Defenders oversaw the refurbishment by marque
experts in England. Refinished in Keswick Green with a chocolate
brown soft top, the car benefits from a number of exterior
upgrades. Front and rear steel bumpers have been fitted along with
a satin black front grille and HID headlights in a matching black
surround. A safari cage was also powder coated in black, so when
the top is off, all of the trim - including running boards -
matches. The truck sits on a set of Project Kahn 1983 18-inch
wheels in black which are wrapped in BF Goodrich Trail-Terrain
tires, covered by a set of mudflaps. The interior has been upgraded
with two-tone black and Cognac on all nine seats which include two
buckets up front, a bench in the middle and four center-facing
jumpseats in the rear. Also in the rear, custom wood floors have
been installed, while up front, a custom lockable center cubby has
been modified to accommodate a built-in Marshall speaker with
Bluetooth and LED capabilities. Although the interior has been
modified from original, it still maintains the rugged go-anywhere
feel it used to have.Under the hood sits Land Rover's famously
stout 200 TDI turbo-diesel inline 4 which produces 109 horsepower
and 188 lb-ft of torque. This is connected to a 5-speed manual
transmission that sends power to all-four wheels via a 2-speed
transfer case. Under current ownership, the car has been serviced
by marque experts at Lamorna Garage to ensure it runs and drives
well. There is a good reason the Defender is so beloved by off-road
enthusiasts the world over. This example has been nicely upgraded
to make it more pleasant to use while also looking better than the
day it rolled out of the factory. Instead of doing a build like
this yourself, this one is ready to go and completed by Defender
specialists both in the UK and US.*Key Features* * 2.5-Liter 200
