Description:
This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was modified under prior
ownership in the style of a Grand Sport lightweight racing car, and
it is powered by a Lingenfelter-modified 5.7-liter LS6 V8 linked to
a six-speed manual transmission. The car rides on a custom tubular
chassis outfitted with alloy suspension components as well as power
steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and Halibrand-style 17" wheels,
while the bodywork has been modified with a vented hood, covered
headlights, flared wheel arches, a trunk, an acrylic rear window,
air scoops, and a perforated tail panel.
Interior:
The cabin is trimmed in red with diamond-stitched silver accents on
the dashboard and doors. Polished door pulls have been added along
with a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a MOMO aluminum
pedal set, a Vintage Air climate control system, a Custom Autosound
digital media receiver, power windows, a cue-ball shifter knob, and
Sparco three-point harnesses. The split-spoke steering wheel is
mounted to an Ididit tilt column and sits ahead of AutoMeter
instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm
tachometer, and auxiliary gauges.
Exterior:
The fiberglass bodywork is finished in metallic gray with a silver
over-the-top stripe outlined in red. The fuel filler was relocated
to the right B-pillar, and a door on the left-front fender provides
access to the brake fluid reservoir. A trunk lid was added along
with an acrylic rear window, an external oil cooler, and
ventilation holes in the tail panel. Air scoops atop the quarter
panels lead to cooling ducts for the rear brakes. Halibrand-style
17" wheels have faux three-eared spinners and are wrapped in 255/40
front and 275/50 rear Nitto NT555 tires.
Drivetrain:
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual
transmission and a C4 Corvette-style differential. The 5.7-liter
LS6 V8 is said to have been built by Lingenfelter Performance and
has a polished aluminum Weiand intake manifold and polished valve
covers.
