This custom 1957 Chevrolet Nomad is powered by a 454ci
fuel-injected 7.4-liter Vortec MK5 engine producing 400hp, backed
by a 4L80E automatic transmission. The engine features a polished
factory intake and valve covers, Painless wiring, Moroso oil pan,
K&N air filter, ceramic-coated headers, Vintage Air Front
Runner serpentine drive system and a Be Cool polished aluminum
radiator support with polished shroud, condenser and reservoir
tanks. A custom aluminum fuel tank with a high-pressure electric
pump feeds the EFI system. Exhaust exits through a dual Flowmaster
setup. The chassis is equipped with 2-inch dropped spindles,
Wilwood disc brakes and a Pro 4-link rear suspension supporting a
Ford 9-inch locking posi-traction differential with 3.70:1 gears. A
full Vintage Air system with custom stainless lines ensures modern
comfort. Finished in Fiji Blue Pearl Metallic with an Alberta White
Pearl tri-coat roof using Sikkens Autowave Waterborne paint, this
Nomad also features Foose wheels and 214 rechromed pieces. The
Ciadella blue and white interior includes power windows, an Ididit
chrome tilt column, Billet waterfall steering wheel and Classic
Instruments gauges. The computer is concealed under the left
fender, while dual gel batteries sit under the right, both
positioned for easy access. This Nomad received a full nut-and-bolt
rotisserie restoration over 10 years, totaling approximately 2,800
professional labor hours, with the frame stripped, sandblasted,
primed and painted in POR-15.
