This 1970 Dodge HEMI Challenger R/T is powered by its original,
matching- numbers 426ci HEMI engine with 425hp and two 4-barrel
Carter carburetors (Code 110), along with an A833 New Process Gear
4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst pistol-grip shifter (Code
677). It is one of only 137 factory HEMI Challengers built with
4-speeds. Power is put to the ground by a Dana 60 rear axle with
4.10:1 Super Track Pack axle (Code A34). The combination of the
massive 426 HEMI engine, a 4-speed manual transmission and the 4.10
Dana 60 was a rare choice for buyers, even back in 1970.
Additionally, it is one of approximately 30 finished as built in
the original FC7 Plum Crazy Metallic (a High Impact color). The
exterior features hood pins, a chrome racing mirror and the Stripe
Delete Package. It rides on 15-inch Rallye wheels wrapped in
Goodyear Polyglas GT F60-15 tires and is equipped with a heavy-duty
HEMI suspension, power steering and power disc brakes. Interior
features include black bucket seats (H6X9), Rallye instrument
cluster with tachometer (N85), AM Music Master radio (R11) and the
federal VIN label. This car spent most of its life in California,
has been recorded in the MMC Detroit Global Vehicle Registry, has
an Elite Level Wise Validation Report and comes with its original
Broadcast Sheet.
