If this post is up - the vehicle is available. No Trades. This is not a show truck. It was restored 15 years ago as a work truck. The color is Hugger Orange. I did a frame off restoration. The truck has always been garaged since the restoration work was completed. The body is straight, no rust with a few paint chips here and there. The right rear fender has paint scraped off in one spot, not a ding just some clown who opened a door and scraped the paint off.
This is a straight 6, 250 (4.1L) single barrel carb engine, 3 speed Saginaw manual (three on the tree) all original engine and trans. The ignition system was updated with electronic distributer, rebuilt carb, new fuel pump and sending unit in gas tank. New aluminum radiator. Brakes are drum brakes all around. Wood bed was replaced with custom cut oak at the time of the restoration and is in excellent shape. Bed has a black tonneau cover with hydraulic lifts. Truck was re-assembled with stainless steel nuts and bolts on body, bed fenders etc.
The interior was replaced and front seat was rebuilt and has a custom cover. Tires are in good condition with plenty of tread.
If you are looking for a good truck for a resto mod this, is it. Or if prefer original this is 90%.
I have extra goodies that will be included with the sale including a seal skin truck cover and misc. part.
This is a California built truck that was assembled in Fremont CA. in 1968. I have most of the original build sheet intact.
Please no low-ball offers – I appreciate serious inquiries only. I have had the truck appraised and have priced it to sell.
Lastly if you do not know how to drive a manual 3 speed on the column, I will not be a driving instructor for you. You gotta love old school.
