This custom 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Woody Wagon is powered by a
retro-styled 430hp LS3 V8 engine paired with a 4L70E automatic
transmission. Known as "Black Majic" and finished in deep black
paint over natural wood, it is the result of a 4.5-year custom
build overseen by Hot Rod legend and Ridler Award winner Gary Case.
The firewall-forward sheet metal and exterior finish were executed
by Street Machinery, while the wood paneling was crafted by noted
Woody specialist Mike Nichols. Billet Specialties Turbine wheels
measuring 18 inches up front and 20 inches at the rear conceal disc
brakes, and a modern suspension setup provides an updated stance
and ride quality. The interior features air conditioning, two-tone
leather-wrapped seats and steering wheel contrasted against natural
wood and custom trim throughout.
