TO BE SOLD TO OUT OF STATE BUYERS OR DEALERS ONLY DUE TO CALIFORNIA
SMOG EMISSIONS West Coast Classics are proud to present an
absolutely exceptional example of this original southern California
family owner 1987 Jaguar XJ6 (XJ40) Vanden Plas 4.2L 6 cylinder
sedan in a gorgeous and and desirable color combination of original
factory 'Bordeaux Red Metallic' (Code CEK) color paint with factory
alloy wheels and beautiful 'Doeskin' (Trim Code AEE) leather
interior! The top-of-the-line 'Vanden Plas' model is a fully loaded
and very rare and desirable model which had a retail sales price of
over $41K in 1987 (over $120K today when adjusted for inflation
according to the CPI)! This particular car must be seen to be truly
appreciated! A real head-turner! Obviously always garaged with
absolutely no rust and no signs of any accidents, and owned by only
obviously very careful and mature southern California owner/drivers
since new, from whom we acquired the car - obviously never abused,
babied all the way!The original factory 'Bordeaux Red Metallic'
color paint is showing oxidation but otherwise is quite presentable
and the interior is in very nice condition for its age with the
door panels, headliner and the carpets all in outstanding condition
throughout, including the original Burled Walnut wood veneer having
only very minor cracks in the veneer.Throughout their history,
Jaguar has offered some of the most beautiful and complex wood
appointments ever found in automobiles, with this dark Burled
Walnut made especially for the Vanden Plas models. This must be one
of the finest later model classic Jaguar models available today and
a now classic and increasingly collectible Series III Vanden Plas
XJ6 Jaguar, a truly luxurious smooth ride and one of the last
beautiful hand built cars from Jaguar's legendary Browns Lane,
Coventry, England plant and a car that cost over $41K new in 1985
(over $120K in todays money) - this is probably one of the last
classically beautiful designs built by Jaguar in their long and
famous history of classic lines - and now becoming increasingly
hard to find in such all original condition and with this car
having had only one careful southern California family owner until
we acquired it last month and with the car having obviously always
been garaged since new! Recently acquired from long time storage,
please note the car will be needing some reconditioning.
