Final-year Toyota FJ Cruiser in rare Heritage Blue. One of 2500
Ultimate Edition built at the end of production. Higher mileage but
clean CarFax and very well maintained with receipts. A modern take
on a legend that still delivers the fun! Even Toyota wasn't immune
to the retro-car craze of the early 2000s and 2010s, delivering the
FJ Cruiser as a nod to their legendary Land Cruiser of the '60s and
'70s. A modern take on the original it still offers go-anywhere
ruggedness combined with modern comfort and convenience. The result
is a truck with cult following that still trades hands among an
excited group of enthusiasts. This particular 2014 Toyota FJ
Cruiser was built in the final year of production and is one of
2500 Ultimate Edition trucks built. The Heritage Blue paint, which
includes the roof (which is normally white), makes it stand out in
a crowd, and thanks to some tasteful modifications, it has a
go-anywhere look that's quite appealing. The original paint is in
excellent condition throughout, offering traditional Toyota quality
that really stands the test of time. There are a few marks here and
there that are consistent with the vehicle's age, but nothing that
requires attention or repair. The traditional Land Cruiser look
remains with the white grille and close-set round headlights, and
the off-road credentials are undeniable. Modifications include a
heavy-duty front bumper with tow hooks, LED driving lights, and
provisions for a winch, along with a cool roof rack and auxiliary
lighting out back. And while a lot of modern off-roaders are
nothing more than posers, this one can back up the look with real
trail-ready performance. The interior features comfortable and
supportive bucket seats trimmed in durable, washable materials that
are perfect for a vehicle that's going to play in the dirt.
Heavy-duty rubber floor mats continue the heavy-duty theme, but all
the features you expect are standard equipment: power windows and
locks, cold A/C, cruise control, and much more. Cool details
include the white-faced gauges, which are also a nod to past Land
Cruisers, an auxiliary pod on top of the dash with a compass and
inclinometer, and a cool shifter with an aftermarket knob that
suits the FJ Cruiser just fine. A few upgrades inside make it
easier to live with, including a custom stereo with touch-screen
interface and back-up camera, a windshield-mounted dash cam, and
removable quarter windows that provide better ventilation than the
stock pieces (the OEM windows are included with the truck). The
interior remains in excellent condition with virtually zero wear,
suggesting great care and easy use throughout its life. Even the
cargo bay is nicely finished with a heavy-duty mat, aftermarket
subwoofer and amp, and custom storage racks built into the rear
door. Go have an adventure! Power for all FJ Cruisers comes from a
burly 4.0 liter V6 that was designed for low-end torque and
climbing through the mud. It's still a Toyota, however, and that
means bulletproof reliability. This one always starts easily, idles
properly, and drives superbly thanks to conscientious maintenance
throughout its life (receipts are included). It was mostly used for
cross-country treks to Colorado for outdoor adventures, so the
mileage shouldn't scare anyone?it's been gently used. The
transmission is a 5-speed automatic that powers a real 2-speed
manual transfer case that distributes power to both axles for true
4-wheel-drive traction. No cute ute here! It's mostly stock
underneath, including the exhaust system, suspension, and brakes,
so service will be easy in the future and everything works like it
should. There's some surface scale on the heavy metal parts of the
chassis, but no rot in the critical areas, and they did add a set
of airbags on the rear suspension which are controlled by a small
keypad on the dash. TRD wheels simulate real bead lock rims and
carry recent 285/75/16 off-road radials at all four corners. This
Toyota includes a lot of extras, including seat covers, manuals,
spare parts, tune-up components, and much more. It also comes with
a set of manuals and years of maintenance receipts that are
up-to-date. The Toyota FJ Cruiser has become a legend in its own
right, and combines traditional Toyota reliability with a retro
look that really works. The FJ stands out in a crowd, delivers
off-road capabilities that match its looks, as well as a dose of
luxury that the original could never match. This one has been well
maintained throughout its life and represents a bit of a value in
the FJ Cruiser market (we just saw a similar truck sell for nearly
$20,000 more). With a great color, some smart upgrades, and lots of
extras, this FJ starts to make a lot of sense. Call today! Harwood
