This custom 1978 International Scout II was treated to a
professional rotisserie restoration and tastefully modernized
throughout. It is powered by a 5.3-liter LS engine equipped with a
FiTech fuel-injection management system with built-in transmission
control, paired with a 4L60E overdrive automatic transmission.
Additional mechanical upgrades include full headers, an aluminum
radiator and power steering. The four-wheel-drive system includes
front locking hubs, and the chassis is fitted with an overall
5-inch lift. Stopping is handled by four-wheel power disc brakes,
and the vehicle rides on 33-inch Mickey Thompson white-letter tires
mounted on polished 15-inch American Racing Baja wheels. The
exterior is finished in custom Nardo Gray and includes
custom-fabricated rocker-slider side steps, custom front and rear
bumpers, a matching spare-tire carrier and a white Softopper. The
custom interior features black and gray plaid bucket seats with
modern comforts that include custom digital sweep-style gauges and
a full aftermarket sound system. The vehicle retains its original
Line Setting Ticket still affixed to the glove box door, along with
its original owner's manual. The seller states that the vehicle
also is equipped with air conditioning, but it is not functioning
at the present time. It has been driven 1,122 miles since
completion.
