This custom 1974 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is powered by a 5.3-liter LS
engine fitted with an Ultimate LS fuel injection system, polished
headers and a new exhaust system, mated to a 3-speed automatic
transmission and a fully functional four-wheel-drive transfer case.
The chassis features a solid frame that was prepared and painted
black, with fully serviced differentials, knuckles, bearings and
seals, along with new bushings, tie rods, leaf springs, shackles
and shocks, and new brakes installed on all four corners. It also
retains its original wheels and bumpers, which were refinished in
black, and includes new body mounts and new weatherstripping for
the top, windows and doors. Cooling and fuel delivery systems
include a new aluminum radiator, a new in-tank fuel pump, new fuel
lines and a reconditioned and pressure-tested fuel tank, while the
original electrical harness remains in place with added auxiliary
circuits. The interior features new carpeting, newly upholstered
seats and a new Dakota Digital instrument cluster, and the exterior
was refinished in red and white using PPG materials.
