This custom 1986 GMC K1500 factory short-bed four-wheel-drive
pickup is powered by a new Speedway Motors 350ci V8 engine mated to
a 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Power
is delivered through 4.10 gears in the rebuilt 10-bolt rear
differential. This example received a multi-year body-off
restoration completed in 2016 that included replacement of the
hood, fenders, bumpers, wheel wells, mirrors, door handles, glass
and rubber seals, along with refinishing in deep Raven Black PPG
clearcoat. The chassis is equipped with a new 4-inch suspension
lift, dual steering stabilizers, Warn manual locking front hubs,
power steering and 15-inch American Racing wheels fitted with
37x14.5 Toyo Open Country M/T tires. Stopping power is handled by
power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The interior
was refurbished with a reupholstered bench seat, new dash, door
panels, carpet and headliner, along with a billet steering wheel
and a Kenwood stereo system with aftermarket speakers. Additional
equipment includes a Vintage Air-style R134a air-conditioning
system, HEI distributor, long-tube headers, Flowmaster mufflers
with 3-inch exhaust and an aluminum radiator. CARFAX shows damage
report on 12/21/1992: Accident reported, minor damage with another
motor vehicle; potential odometer rollover on 04/06/2015; and
mileage inconsistency on 10/24/2016.
