For Sale at Auction: 1986 GMC K1500 in Scottsdale, Arizona
This custom 1986 GMC K1500 factory short-bed four-wheel-drive
pickup is powered by a new Speedway Motors 350ci V8 engine mated to
a 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Power
is delivered through 4.10 gears in the rebuilt 10-bolt rear
differential. This example received a multi-year body-off
restoration completed in 2016 that included replacement of the
hood, fenders, bumpers, wheel wells, mirrors, door handles, glass
and rubber seals, along with refinishing in deep Raven Black PPG
clearcoat. The chassis is equipped with a new 4-inch suspension
lift, dual steering stabilizers, Warn manual locking front hubs,
power steering and 15-inch American Racing wheels fitted with
37x14.5 Toyo Open Country M/T tires. Stopping power is handled by
power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The interior
was refurbished with a reupholstered bench seat, new dash, door
panels, carpet and headliner, along with a billet steering wheel
and a Kenwood stereo system with aftermarket speakers. Additional
equipment includes air-conditioning, HEI distributor, long-tube
headers, Flowmaster mufflers with 3-inch exhaust and an aluminum
radiator. CARFAX shows damage report on 12/21/1992: Accident
reported, minor damage with another motor vehicle; potential
odometer rollover on 04/06/2015; and mileage inconsistency on
10/24/2016.
