The 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Bandit custom conversion
convertible is powered by its factory turbocharged 4.9-liter V8
engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission and a 3.08 rear
end. The drivetrain retains its original configuration and factory
components. As one of 500 Coach Works conversions built for GM,
this example is identified as conversion No. 13. The exterior is
finished in its factory Starlight Black paint and includes the
Coach Works convertible configuration with dual color-keyed sport
mirrors and a Turbo hood scoop equipped with digital gauges. The
interior is factory black and includes leather seating, bucket
seats with console, a center shifter, a dash with gold accents,
power windows, power locks, tilt steering and cruise control.
Additional features include air conditioning, an aftermarket custom
sound system and factory-installed accessories consistent with the
Trans Am package.
