This custom 1969 AMC Javelin SST is powered by a rebuilt
high-performance 343ci V8 engine that has been bored and stroked
and upgraded with a Demon carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum intake,
Edelbrock valve covers, an Edelbrock air cleaner and MSD electronic
ignition. The engine is paired with a custom 4-speed automatic
transmission. Additional powertrain components include an aluminum
radiator and a dual-exhaust system. Power steering and power disc
brakes support drivability. The SST features a restored
factory-optioned houndstooth interior along with a Quicksilver
shifter and an SST Rally wood-grain steering wheel. Exterior
equipment includes Torq Thrust five-spoke wheels with red line
radial tires, an SST black body panel Rally stripe and its
original-style vinyl top. The vehicle was refinished during
restoration and retains its fastback configuration. Additional
features include a custom stereo system.
