If you're looking for a good, honest, survivor Fox Body Mustang
with the coveted 5.0-Liter V8 and manual transmission, check this
out! Clean Carfax, and clean and clear Georgia title!
1 of just 1,639 built in Bright Red, this GLX convertible was over
$12,500 new, before adding options! By the time you added A/C
($737), power front disc brakes ($93), center console ($191), power
steering ($202), wipers ($49), and more you were pushing $14,000
for this Mustang in 1983!
The exterior wears the original Bright Red paint (except for one
touchup on the passenger quarter panel that is a good match), a
newer white convertible top with glass back window that is in great
shape, and 5-spoke alloy wheels. Drive it as is, or add the Fox
Body hood scoop and spoiler to give it a more muscle car look!
These 4-eyed Mustangs are growing in popularity and represent a
solid investment going forward as more people realize how fun, easy
to work on, and cheap they are currently!
Under the hood is the 5.0-Liter V8 engine (302 Cubic Inch) mated to
a fun 4-speed manual transmission. Power steering and power disc
brakes make this Stang a blast for anyone to drive. Put the top
down, or keep it up and turn on the A/C on those hot summer car
show afternoons!
The interior features white seat upholstery with a red dash, center
console, and carpet for a splash of color. Faux woodgrain on the
dash adds a touch of class to a simple and easy to use cockpit. An
AM/FM/Cassette player sits in the dash and works as it should to
play your favorite tunes! A matching white convertible top boot is
in the trunk to button up the exterior nicely when the top is down.
The underside is solid and looks to have been undercoated from the
factory or original dealership, which has protected it all these
years. The A/C, heat, wipers, all lights, all gauges (speedometer
is inaccurate, but reads), radio, and power top work like they
should in this classic Mustang!
