The 1958 Chevrolet 3100 custom panel wagon is powered by a new
350ci Chevrolet small-block V8 engine equipped with an Edelbrock
intake manifold, 4-barrel carburetor, MSD electronic ignition,
Cadillac batwing air cleaner and Rams Horn exhaust manifolds, with
power routed through a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission with a
B&M floor shifter to a GM 12-bolt rear end, and finished with a
custom dual exhaust system with chrome tips. The chassis rides on
new custom Rally wheels wrapped in new Goodyear Wrangler radial
tires. The exterior is finished in period-correct Mobiloil
lubricant delivery livery and features new chrome trim, fresh
Apache 3100 emblems, a frenched radio antenna, new mirrors, updated
lenses, new headlamps, all-new window glass and seals and rear
dual-opening delivery doors. The interior consists of a custom gray
interior with restored front seating, new carpeting, fresh knobs,
handles and window winders, along with the original steering wheel,
an opening glove box, a restored speedometer cluster with fully
functioning gauges, working horn and turn signals, and a
retro-style stereo with new speakers. The cargo area is finished
with wood-and-chrome tie-down strips and includes hooks, a fire
extinguisher, spare tire and a period-style loading hand dolly.
Period-correct Mobiloil graphics include Pegasus delivery door
logos, flammable warning labels and correct 7-inch blue Mobiloil
box lettering, and the restoration is accompanied by extensive
Mobil Petroliana consisting of a Mobil delivery driver hat and
T-shirt, authentic 1958 East and West Coast Mobil fold-out maps, a
Chevrolet Bowtie mirror, a "Jimmy Bryan & Mobil Win the 1958 Indy
500" metal interior sign and multiple Mobiloil locking steel drums
