This custom 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 is powered by a rebuilt,
balanced and blueprinted 396ci engine that has been updated with a
fuel-injection system, a roller cam and roller lifters, a billet
timing cover, an electronic distributor, and a Crane HI6 ignition
and rev limiter. Exhaust flows through 3-inch Hooker headers and a
3-inch polished stainless-steel dual exhaust system. Power is
delivered through a high-performance Tremec 5-speed manual
transmission with a Hurst shifter. The chassis and undercarriage
were fully dismantled, painted, detailed and reassembled during the
comprehensive frame-off restoration. Billet aluminum hood hinges,
power disc brakes at all four wheels and Rally wheels with beauty
rings were added. Exterior updates include halo headlights, mirror
signal indicators and LED taillights with 90 LEDs per unit. The
interior features a restored factory-style layout with bucket
seats, a console, a custom steering wheel, tilt steering, power
windows operated through the original-style cranks, power door
locks, a rear-window defogger, tinted glass on all windows and
deluxe front and rear seat belts. The Chevelle retains its original
VIN and factory Data Tag. It was produced on March 6, 1967, and
sold new at Stedelbauer Chevrolet Oldsmobile Ltd. in Edmonton,
Alberta, Canada. Vintage Vehicle Services documentation is
included.
