This custom 1966 Volkswagen Beetle Type 1 is powered by a rebuilt
flat-4 engine enlarged to 1835cc and updated with dual carburetors,
paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Known as "California
Dreaming," it features a pan-off custom build with a chopped top,
wide-body fenders, shaved bumpers, custom wheels and a lowered ride
height. The car was built as a show car many years ago and later
placed in long-term storage before being brought back into service.
The exterior is finished with custom striping and artwork,
complemented by a custom interior. The electrical system has been
converted to 12 volts, and the build is noted as having more than
1,000 hours invested.
