This custom 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback is powered by a
professionally built 427ci stroker engine starting with a new Dart
Windsor block and assembled with a Scat forged stroker kit, Mahle
forged pistons, Edelbrock 205 aluminum heads with custom flow work,
Comp Gold roller rockers, an aluminum Cobra oil pan, MSD billet
ignition, an Edelbrock air gap intake, a 770 Holley carburetor and
custom-built FPA headers. The engine was built by Larry's Engine
and Marine in Tucson, AZ, and produced 510hp and 525 ft/lbs of
torque on a mild tune, with engine Build Sheets and dyno
documentation included. Maintenance includes regular oil changes,
lubrication and carburetor cleaning, with the vehicle started every
45 days and run for 10 to 15 minutes. A custom aluminum radiator
with dual electric fans supports the cooling system. The exhaust is
constructed with custom mandrel-bent tubing and Flowmaster Super 44
mufflers. The transmission is a new TKO 600 5-speed manual paired
with a 10.5-inch Kevlar 26-spline clutch and hydraulic actuator
from Modern Driveline, with the clutch master cylinder and slave
cylinder serviced and the reservoir bled in 2020. The chassis
features Total Control Products front suspension with tubular
control arms and fully adjustable coilovers, along with a new rack
& pinion steering system from Randal's Rack-n-Pinion. The rear uses
a heavy-duty Ford 9-inch fitted with a Strange 3.73 posi-traction
third member and 31-spline axles, supported by 4.5-inch mid-eye
lowering springs, Cal-Trac stabilizers and Heidts subframe
connectors. Braking is handled by Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes
with 13-inch drilled and slotted rotors and red 4-piston calipers.
Exterior features include custom-built 18-inch Minilite wheels from
Team Three Wheels, fitted with Nitto 555R tires. The interior is
entirely new and equipped with the optional rear sport-deck
fold-down seat, full Dynomat flooring and a complete New Vintage
Instrumentation electronic gauge cluster. Additional features
include a Glenn's Performance sleeper fuel tank with a full Magna
electric fuel system with return. It has been driven less than 800
miles since completion and comes with complete photo documentation
and receipts for the restoration. This Mustang was in long-term
storage in a climate-controlled and air-conditioned garage.
