INTRODUCTION: The pinnacle of muscle cars, the heavy weight champ
boasting the highest HP rating of any production car from the
muscle car era! Real deal SS 454 LS6 documented with the original
build sheet! It's a collectors dream with so many undocumented
Chevelles out there. 450 horsepower, 4.10 posi, and cowl induction,
they don't get any better. This is the one you've been waiting
for!
EXTERIOR: Sinister looking! I love how the Shadow Gray paint plays
so nicely off the black vinyl top and black racing stripes, it
looks so tough! The functioning Cowl Induction hood elevates its
street status. The hood pins are also a nice touch. I believe the
windshield is original and most of the other glass was replaced. It
was repainted some time ago and still presents very well with a
fantastic reflection. The black racing stripes are painted on. All
the brightwork has a lustrous shine. The blacked out SS grill and
blacked out rear bumper are both in great shape. SS 454 badges
proudly adorn the fenders. Headlights and tail lights are both
looking really good. She's sitting pretty too with an ideal stance,
14 inch SS wheels and reproduction Firestone Wide Oval tires.
INTERIOR: Looks great! The upholstery was still original when we
got the car and was not worn, but the seams were splitting so we
had new reproduction seat covers installed. It still has its
original seat belts front and back. We replaced the carpet, the
headliner is tight as a drum and the dash pad is not cracked. I do
believe the door panels are really good originals. Factory gauges
with functioning clock and 6,500 RPM redline tachometer which is
correct for the high revving LS-6. A vintage Sun oil pressure gauge
was added and an original Am-Fm is in dash. Original sun visors and
rear view mirror plus the original SS steering wheel is still
retained. Also, the dome light is working.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Real LS6! A period correct, "512" cast block
has been given a performance rebuild and the HP surpasses the
original 450! It has the rectangular port heads, a lumpy cam, MSD
ignition, Holley carburetor, billet pulleys, and Hooker headers.
It's always nice to see the correct style air cleaner with
functioning Cowl Induction and the GM aluminum intake manifold with
Winters foundry mark. This car was equipped with power steering and
power brakes from the factory. It's also been upgraded with a
transmission cooler. The squirters and horns are hooked up. The
underside of the hood is complete with insulation and neatly
painted satin black just like the firewall and fenderwells. The
original cowl tag is still in place.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid and inside the
jamb are neatly painted Shadow Grey. The weather strip was
replaced. Inside the trunk pan is solid and rust free with a neatly
applied spatter finish paint.
UNDERSIDE: Clean underside! The power steering gearbox has been
replaced and all the other steering components work well. The front
shocks have been replaced and it also has a big fat sway bar.
Modified rear suspension with solid control arms plus the big block
springs and shocks have been replaced. The factory front disc
brakes have been freshened up and the emergency brake is also
hooked up. The 3 inch exhaust has been completely replaced and has
a crossover pipe, Flowmaster mufflers, and the correct polished
cowbell style tips exiting under the rear bumper. Looking up at the
engine you will see nice and bright Chevy orange paint and a billet
crank pulley. The Turbo 400 automatic transmission just had a
$3,200 performance rebuild. A 12 bolt posi rear end with 4.10
gearing will snap some necks off the line. The floors are solid
original metal and the frame is in great shape with neatly applied
satin black paint.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: Rare opportunity to own an icon! If you know what you
are looking at you will see the true investment potential and
overall value of this hard to find classic!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these

personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
