If style points were being awarded for 1960s muscle cars, then this
1967 Plymouth GTX would be at the top of the list. A sub-model of
the Belvedere, the GTX debuted in 1967 and took everything Mopar
fans liked about the base car and ratcheted it up to muscle car
status. Fully repainted in its original Persian White and
complemented by dual full-length red racing stripes, this sleek
coupe looks ready to go from any angle. With this unique color
combination, you're not likely to see another one of these any time
soon.
Inside, we find out why the GTX was oftentimes referred to as "the
gentleman's muscle car." Restored to its stunning factory P6V
Premium Trim Grade white-and-red interior, the car features a
factory center console that separates its white door panels and
matching bucket seats. Chrome trim gives this car an upmarket vibe,
while its correct factory red steering wheel, dash, and five-pod
rectangular gauge cluster, featuring a large, easy-to-read 150 mph
speedometer, take center stage. An original-looking AM radio sits
in its original location, while an AM/FM/CD stereo is mounted under
the dash.
Under that expansive scooped hood, we find a 440 cubic-inch V-8
engine. Topped with a single four-barrel carburetor mounted to a
factory intake manifold, this big V-8 sends spent gases out via
stock-style exhaust manifolds and a dual exhaust. That massive
power is routed through an A727 TorqueFlite three-speed automatic
transmission before heading out to an 8.75-inch rear end. Those
ponies are transferred to the pavement via a set of 14-inch Rallye
wheels shod in 215/75R-14 Coker Classics Redline tires.

its contemporaries. Along with plenty of swagger, this GTX comes
with a reproduction build sheet, Galen Govier documentation,
receipts, and its original window sticker. If you want a Golden Age
