matching-numbers 440ci Six-Pack V8 engine (E87) paired with its
original matching-numbers A727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission
(D32) and equipped with the A32 Super Performance Axle Package
featuring a Dana 60 rear axle with 4.10 Sure-Grip, heavy-duty HEMI
suspension, power steering, power brakes and dual exhaust. Finished
in FC7 Plum Crazy Metallic with a full black vinyl roof (V1X) and
stripe delete (V68), it is one of only 296 V-code R/T SE models
produced for 1970 and the only known example built with its exact
combination of factory options, including the N96 Shaker hood with
hood pins, dual chrome racing mirrors and 14-inch W23 Road Wheels
with Goodyear Polyglas F70-14 tires. The interior features black
houndstooth cloth and vinyl bucket seats (H5X9) with a center
console, SE overhead console, power windows (P31), six-way driver's
seat (C62), rim blow steering wheel, Rallye instrument cluster with
tachometer (N85), rear-window defogger, AM/FM Multiplex stereo
(R35), deluxe seat belts and rear armrest with ashtray.
Documentation includes the original Broadcast Sheet, Window
Sticker, Fender Tags, warranty card, owner's manual, service
records, restoration invoices and a Wise Validation Report (from
2023) confirming the authenticity and matching-numbers status of
the engine and transmission. The vehicle has been the subject of a
documented rotisserie restoration presented with correct components
throughout and show-quality finishes. This Challenger R/T SE has
been recorded in the MMC Detroit Global Vehicle Registry and has an
Elite-Level Wise Validation Report.
