This Defender really moves after the performance upgrades! We tracked it on GPS at over 100 mph and still wanted more. The power output is estimated at 340ft lb of torque and 220 BHP. You know from the driver's seat this 90 is packing an extra punch. With excellent power improvement, this vehicle drives tight down the road, shifts well, and has ice cold air conditioning. Even in a shop full of Defenders, we know that this one has something special under the hood.The TD5 engine was released by Land Rover in late 1998. The 1999 model year update included ABS, traction control, and an electronic controlled engine management system. We found this beautiful spec just an hour drive north of our Zonhoven, Belgium location. The previous owner provided service records and used it as his weekend driver for adventures with his children. The British Heritage Certificate revealed the Defender rolled off the Solihull, UK assembly line on October 21, 1998 with a destination of Land Rover Deutschland GmbH, and was sold new on November 17. 1998. Although this vehicle is a 1999 model year, it is titled 1998, the year it was originally registered.This Land Rover Defender 90 is shown in the factory original Chawton White (Paint Code LRC603) with an accented black roof, black chequere plate and a black rear ladder. The interior is finished in the original patterned grey seats which show extremely well and features an original Land Rover cubby box. The rear cargo space load area has a full Land Rover OEM rubber mat and 4 matching jump and a sunroof. A set of 235/85R16 Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme LT tires wrap around the black 5-Spoke 16' Land Rover OEM Alloy Wheels. Inside the cabin a Alpine Halo9 9' touch screen head unit features Bluetooth connection, USB, and USB-C ports and is attached to Focal speakers.This is Car Cave's second time having this vehicle in inventory, and we can't get enough of it. It has been well maintained by previous owners. We replaced all 3 doors, including door hinges and rear door panel; and replaced the rear door glass, wiper, and wiper motor. We installed sound deadening to quiet the cabin and give the doors a solid feel. We have also performed mechanical work, including oil pan gaskets, new door locks, airbox replacements, temperature sensors, oil pressure switch, valve cover gasket, fuel injector harness, air conditioning refurbishment, coolant temperature sensor front and rear, and coolant flush.
