For Sale at Auction: 1947 Lincoln Zephyr in Scottsdale, Arizona

The 1947 Lincoln Zephyr custom convertible is powered by a rebuilt 302ci HO engine equipped with a new 4-barrel carburetor and air cleaner, paired with an AOD automatic transmission. The drivetrain includes a new driveshaft, new U-joints and a rebuilt posi-traction rear end. A new complete custom exhaust system was installed as part of the build. The chassis incorporates a Mustang II-style independent front suspension, new shocks and rear suspension modifications, including removal of the original buggy spring, installation of A2 lateral springs and a lowered rear stance. The braking system is upgraded to four-wheel disc brakes with new brake lines and hoses. Additional mechanical updates include a reconditioned fuel tank, new fuel lines and hoses, a new recored radiator with new hoses and a 12-volt electrical system conversion. The exterior features extensive custom bodywork, including frenched headlights, a custom stainless grille, a replated custom front bumper, rear fenders welded and smoothed into the body, air scoops in the fenders, frenched taillights, a frenched license plate area and a laser-cut "Lincoln" third brake light integrated into the trunk. The hood has been pancaked 4.5 inches and the windshield raked 4 inches. All exterior glass is new and smoked, and the car retains its original hood ornament. Additional modifications include inner-converted hinges for the trunk, a custom-sewn Hartz cloth top with a frame lowered 1 inch and replated custom rear bumpers. The vehicle rides on custom 20-inch wheels and tires. The interior is sourced from a 1969 Lincoln and includes a 1941 Lincoln dash with a hidden ignition switch located where the radio was originally positioned. All interior trim components have been replaced, including carpet, door and quarter-panel trim, the top well and new gauges. Power systems include new hydraulic pistons for the convertible top and four hydraulic window pistons, with new flex hoses and steel lines. A new tonneau cover is also included. **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
