This 1971 Ford Bronco half-cab pickup is powered by a brand-new
BluePrint 302ci crate engine professionally installed by a
certified automotive service center in the Clear Lake area of
Houston, TX. The new engine features a modern block, updated
internals and improved reliability over factory specifications, and
the vehicle is believed to have been driven fewer than 500 miles
since its full restoration, with fewer than 50 miles on the new
engine. The powertrain retains the factory-style standard
transmission configuration, and the engine installation included
proper break-in procedures, new belts, hoses, ignition components
and fluids. The fuel system, cooling system and charging system
were inspected during installation to ensure correct operation with
the new engine. The exhaust system follows the factory-style layout
at the engine manifolds, with a new custom dual exhaust to match
the power output of the newly installed engine. The chassis retains
the original-style frame and running gear, and the current owner
replaced worn front suspension components, such as bushings and
soft goods, to restore proper ride quality and steering response.
The suspension uses the standard coil-spring front and leaf-spring
rear arrangement typical of first-generation Broncos. Power braking
is managed by early Bronco-style drum brakes, providing stopping
performance consistent with the period design. The exterior
features a white half-cab paired with a Sky Blue body, completed by
original-style steel wheels fitted with Ford red center caps and
all-terrain tires that match the factory stance and appearance.
Post restoration bodywork included minor paint repairs performed by
the current owner to correct small chips, scratches and
imperfections found after purchase, preserving the restored finish.
Exterior trim, glass, badging and lighting follow factory-style
specifications, maintaining the Bronco's original configuration.
The interior includes brand-new cold air conditioning installed as
part of the recent power plant upgrade, a significant upgrade over
the factory non-A/C layout. The cabin is equipped with power
steering, a modern AM/FM stereo integrated cleanly into the dash,
and a locking center console that provides additional storage and
security. Seating, flooring and interior trim follow factory-style
specifications, and the gauges, switches and controls remain
consistent with early Bronco design. Additional reliability updates
such as new wiring sections, replaced seals and updated service
components were incorporated during the restoration and subsequent
ownership to ensure dependable operation while maintaining the
period-correct layout.
