This custom 1972 GMC three-door pickup was configured from a
Suburban, with the truck frame lengthened 22 inches to accommodate
the stock 6.5-foot bed. It is powered by a 2015 Gen 5 5.3-liter
engine equipped with a custom camshaft and paired with a 6-speed
6L80E automatic transmission running a custom tune. The build uses
the modified original chassis, which has been powder-coated as part
of a frame-off restoration. Dual 2.5-inch exhaust flows through
MagnaFlow mufflers and Hooker headers. The suspension consists of
Ridetech adjustable-height and damping coilovers, Ridetech
adjustable-height drop spindles and Ridetech front and rear sway
bars. Stopping power comes from 14-inch Wilwood brakes supported by
a Wilwood master cylinder and hydro-boost assist. The truck rides
on custom 22-inch wheels fitted with custom original-style hubcaps,
and a custom fuel tank is mounted under the bed feeding the EFI
fuel system. The interior features custom black and white
houndstooth upholstery along with power windows and power door
locks. Additional equipment includes a Dakota Digital VHX electric
gauge cluster, a power rack & pinion steering conversion, a
RetroSound Bluetooth stereo, Infinity speakers and Kicker
amplifiers with subwoofer. **TITLED AS 1972 GMC SPCON **
