The 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle custom convertible is powered by an LS1
engine equipped with a Comp cam and upgraded lifters, paired with a
Holley Terminator X Max management system operating a Holley Sniper
manifold, throttle body and Holley injectors, all mated to a GM
4L60E automatic transmission fitted with a shift kit. Under-hood
components include a Deeds Specialties S-Drive serpentine-belt
system, a complete Holley fuel system, a Griffin radiator with
electric fans and Doug Thorley headers feeding a 2.5-inch
stainless-steel exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers finished in
Jet-Hot coating. The chassis and suspension are enhanced with
custom suspension components integrated with Air Ride Technologies
equipment, and stopping power is supplied by Wilwood brakes using
14-inch rotors and 6-piston calipers. Exterior details include
mirror-finish PPG Jet Black paint applied to the body and continued
fully throughout the interior surfaces and underside, producing a
uniform high-gloss finish from top to bottom. The convertible top
assembly is equipped with a black Haartz top and a matching boot
cover. The electrical system is powered by an ISIS Power system by
Jay Harris, and additional components include AutoMeter gauges, a
B&M shifter and Nu-Relics power windows. The interior features
custom pillbox-style red leather upholstery with diamond stitching,
leather floors, custom floor mats and a fully trimmed headliner
that encloses the convertible-top framework. The Chevelle rides on
staggered 20-inch and 22-inch Billet Specialties wheels fitted with
custom tires.
