This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series 1 2+2 coupe was delivered new on February 22, 1967 just as it looks today, with U.S. Spec Left hand drive, Pale primrose Yellow paint and black interior to Jaguar Cars, New York, USA according to the Jaguar Heritage Trust document. It has its original 4.2 litre Engine Block with triple S.U. Carburettors. Factory equipped with 4 speed synchronized manual transmission, and dashboard toggle switches, the hallmarks of the legendary late XKE series 1 ! It is absolutely beautiful, and is fully prepared and ready to drive. The driving experience is breathtaking! LOTS of power, handles like it should, exactly as the Jaguar factory intended!
It has been body-off restored, with documented work by Jaguar experts including XK’s unlimited, engine rebuild by Pacific parts LTD, and final restoration completion in 2024 by JP’s European of California. The 4.2-liter inline-six was rebuilt, bodywork, stripped to bare metal, rust repair using new metal and the car was repainted. New wiring harness installed, rear axle assembly redone, brakes redone. It is fitted with an aluminum radiator and is backed by a four-speed manual transmission. The car has halogen headlights & tail lights, 15″ knock-on wire-spoke wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, and a heater.
15″ wire wheels with knock-offs and are mounted with period correct Redline Michelin X tires. Four-wheel disc brakes give the car great stopping power.
The front seats are trimmed in black vinyl, while the rear seats are upholstered in color-coordinated leather, we believe to be the original leather.
The dashboard is lovely, with a beautiful reproduction wood-rimmed steering wheel that was restored in 2025. A Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6,000 -rpm tachometer, along with the other factory gauges all work properly and were restored in 2024. The odometer shows 34k miles, but the total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was rebuilt in 2003. The exhaust manifolds were sourced by SNG Barratt, and the engine is fitted with an aluminum radiator with electric fans.
