This custom 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS is powered by a Texas Speed
and Performance 6.2-liter LS-based V8 engine producing 625hp,
paired with a TKO 5-speed manual transmission. The powertrain is
supported by an updated fuel system featuring a Rick's Tanks
stainless-steel gas tank, an aluminum radiator with electric fans
and a 3-inch Borla stainless dual exhaust system with an X-pipe.
The Hotchkis front suspension kit incorporates tubular A-arms,
coilovers, a sway bar and rack & pinion steering, while the
Ridetech rear suspension kit adds coilovers, a four-link setup and
a sway bar connected to a Ford 9-inch rear end. Stopping power is
provided by Wilwood front and rear disc brakes with a Wilwood
hydro-boost master cylinder. The car rides on 17x8 American Racing
Salt Flat alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin 235/50ZR17 front and
255/50ZR17 rear tires. Finished in Matador Red PPG paint with
silver Rally stripes, the exterior also includes a new windshield,
rear window, weatherstripping and trim. The Dooley and Sons red
leather interior features red and black houndstooth inserts, custom
seat foam for the front and rear seats, new carpet and
sound-deadening. Additional interior updates include a Gen5 Vintage
Air system, Dakota Digital VHX gauges and an Ididit tilt steering
column. Custom audio by JD Glassworks includes an Alpine DSP radio
(PXE-C60-60), Morel Elate Carbon 63A 3-way speakers in custom kick
panels, Morel two-way coaxial speakers in a custom rear package
tray, two 8-inch Morel Ultimo Titanium 802 subwoofers and a Kicker
ILX1300.7 7-channel amplifier.
