This custom 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS has an RS Z/28 trim upgrade
and was restored five years ago, beginning with a factory black
original car and rebuilt using high-performance components
throughout. It is powered by a 383ci stroker engine paired with a
4-speed automatic transmission featuring high-performance
internals, Edelbrock aluminum heads, a Victor Jr Edelbrock aluminum
intake and a Holley dual-feed carburetor, supported by an aluminum
radiator with an electric cooling fan. The ceramic Jet-Hot-coated
headers feed into a custom exhaust system. Chassis upgrades include
a full Art Morrison front subframe with connectors to the 12-bolt
rear end, a heavy-duty sway bar, adjustable coilover front
suspension, an adjustable rear air-suspension setup and power rack
& pinion steering. Stopping power is handled by four-wheel Wilwood
disc brakes. Exterior equipment includes a Detroit Speed electronic
headlight conversion. The interior retains an original-style
appearance and features a tilt steering column, AutoMeter
speedometer, tachometer and center-console auxiliary gauges, along
with an upgraded custom sound system. Additional features include
18-inch front and 20-inch rear Billet Specialties wheels wrapped in
high-speed radial tires and an upgraded R134a air-conditioning
system.
