This 1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 is powered by a rebuilt
3.9-liter F inline-6 engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission
and dual-range transfer case. A U.S.-market example, it received a
cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment in 2018 that included
rebuilding the engine, servicing the transmission and transfer
case, replacing the clutch assembly and hydraulic cylinders, and
renewing various drivetrain bearings. The body was refinished in
Fashion Green following rust repair, the frame was powder-coated
black and the bumpers were refinished. Additional features include
a PTO-driven winch with new cable, Warn locking front hubs, rebuilt
knuckle bearings, replacement shocks and Birfield seals, and
15-inch powder-coated gray steel wheels with polished hubcaps
wrapped in BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires. The removable
hardtop features a white roof, and exterior details include dual
mirrors and a swing-out rear carrier with spare. The interior was
retrimmed with new foam and gray upholstery on the split front
bench and rear jump seats, along with refinished hardware, new
headliner, sun visors, rearview mirror, dash pad and lap belts.
Black floor mats, front and rear heaters, and a restored gauge
cluster remain true to the model's utilitarian roots. The car is
offered with service records, spare parts, a bottle jack and a
clean California title. Has been driven 285 since the restoration.
