'55 Chevy Bel Air 2 door sedan "restomod"
It is a central Texas car, no major rust ever, with about 3250 miles since restoration/mods. It has mostly stock appearing body except hood is "nosed" ( emblem & bird is removed) & trunk is "decked" (rear license plate & emblem removed),license plate is moved to a rechromed wagon rear bumper.
It has "nice" driver quality urethane india ivory over gypsy red paint that has a few blemishes but still looks good. The original seats have been rebuilt & recovered with houndstooth cloth & vinyl along with door panels & headliner to match the paint. The trunk & spare tire cover also match.
It sits on polished Rev 100 classic wheels, front 15" x 7" with 215/75-15 tires & rear 15" x 8" with 235/75-15 tires in good driving condition.
It is LS swapped with a lower mileage (unknown to me) 2004? style drive by wire Vortec 5.3L stock engine & 4l60e automatic transmission. It has been custom tuned by Chris @ Frank's Tuning in Corsicana, Tx. with no "check engine" lights on.
It has an aftermarket LS swap aluminum radiator, fan shroud,& OEM clutch fan setup, stainless mid length headers, quiet mufflers & free flow intake filter.
Original non-posi rear axle with 3.70? gears & drum brakes rebuilt, Cal trac style traction bars on original leaf rear suspension.
Comfortably cruises 70-80 mph, runs, stops & drives like a new car. It has power front disc brakes with a booster & dual reservoir master cylinder, Unisteer power rack & pinion steering, aftermarket "stock" style upper control arms with 5 degrees extra caster for radial tires, chrome tilt column with billet steering wheel.
It has recent KYB shocks & Speedway sway bars front & rear.
It has great working Vintage Air A/C & heat, with an electric fan for the condensor, Dakota Digital instruments with cruise control on the console.
It has a Retro Am-Fm radio with 6" speakers in the package tray.
All new glass, gaskets, weatherstripping & seals, all new or restored/polished OEM stainless trim, rechromed or new bumpers.
