This custom 1941 Willys is powered by a Keith Black-built 426ci
aluminum HEMI V8 engine equipped with dual magnetos, Stage V
dual-plug HEMI heads and Hilborn fuel injection, topped with a
custom plenum and paired with an A500 automatic transmission. It is
constructed from an all-steel body mounted on a custom-built frame
and features exhaust routing integrated into the custom build. The
chassis is fitted with Kugel Components suspension, including an
independent chrome 9-inch rear end and a Kugel Mustang II front
suspension, with braking components integrated into the custom
chassis design. The exterior features a custom-mixed PPG Root Beer
Brown finish, with body and paint work completed by Bob White in
Dallas, TX, along with custom Budnik wheels. The interior is fully
custom and completed by The Recovery Room, incorporating high-end
upholstery work and a custom stereo system, with the vehicle
originally created with the intention of competing for the Ridler
Award.
