This custom four-wheel-drive 1973 Chevrolet K5 Blazer underwent a
professional comprehensive restoration and modification. It is
powered by an upgraded GM Performance LSX 454ci crate engine with
627hp and 586 ft/lbs of torque mated to a 4L80E 4-speed automatic
transmission. It features a JB Custom Fabrication twin-stick cable
shift in a newly rebuilt NP205 transfer case supported by Dirty
Dingo crossmembers, a DeWitts dual-fan LSX radiator, Mightymouse
catch can system, Speed Engineering cold-air intake, ACDelco
battery and professionally installed Painless 27-circuit GM wiring
harness. An upgraded 25-gallon EFI fuel tank was frame-mounted in
the semi-gloss black-finished factory frame, complementing the
upgraded full-size Chevrolet 6-lug axle equipped with a Wilwood
hydro-boost four-wheel disc brake conversion. This comprehensive
four-wheel-drive drivetrain, complete with Warn locking hubs, has
been meticulously reconstructed. The chassis features an
appropriately sized 4-inch suspension lift complemented by Bilstein
reservoir shocks, dual shock steering stabilizers, Borgeson 12.7:1
quick-ratio Street & Performance Series steering box, custom-made
driveshafts and 17-inch Raceline wheels on era-appropriate
white-lettered 35-inch BFGoodrich K02 tires. Under the hood,
supported by billet hinges, the engine bay has a shaved firewall
that exudes a high-quality finish. This example was discovered in
Scottsdale, AZ, and retains all of its original body panels. The
body was dismantled and brought down to bare metal through a
heat-treated sandblasting process, followed by a professional
coating of high-grade BASF epoxy and hand-sanding the R-M Toner
black and white exterior finish. Available for only two years, this
full-size square-body K5 retains the factory-optioned removable
two-layer roadster hardtop. This hardtop features a satin toner
black finish and a custom white and black two-toned interior,
complete with LED interior lights and courtesy lamps. The custom
TMI interior includes new front and rear sport seats with
handcrafted plaid inserts, rear cargo panels and other matching
trim pieces, a new RetroSound Bluetooth audio stereo and Rockford
Fosgate sound system hidden within the interior panels, Dakota
Digital gauges, Vintage Air climate-control system, as well as the
all-digital HD rear view camera mirror. Power windows, a
color-matched tilt-column and a Brothers' Custom steering wheel
complete the combination of modern technology with retro looks and
style.
