This 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda is powered by its original
matching-numbers 340ci 4-barrel V8 engine (E55) paired with a 727
TorqueFlite automatic transmission (D32) and was built at the
Hamtramck, MI, plant as a factory A67 dealer demonstrator, finished
in its factory-correct Moulin Rouge (FM3) with Magenta Strobe
Stripe (V4M), black vinyl top (V1X) and black vinyl interior. It is
documented in Galen Govier's Registry as one of only four Moulin
Rouge/Magenta Strobe Stripe 340 hardtops known, and is further
supported by its original Broadcast Sheet and Trim Tag, which
confirm air conditioning (H51), power steering, power disc brakes
(B51), dual exhaust (N41) with chrome tips (N42), rear window
louvers (J68), front and rear spoilers (J81, M42), hood tie-down
pins (M42), Rallye wheels, LH/RH remote racing mirrors (G33/G36),
fender-mounted turn signals (L31), drip rail moldings (M21), wide
sill moldings (M25), door edge guards (L67), console (C16),
tachometer (N85) and an AM/8-track radio (R22). The car rides on
15-inch Rallye wheels with BFGoodrich radial tires and retains its
original spare tire and jack, along with a vintage-style
replacement battery, while the interior features the factory
console, tachometer and original trim. The exterior presents in its
high-impact Moulin Rouge with the correct Magenta Strobe stripe,
black vinyl top and dealer demonstrator provenance. The car has
been restored and preserved with attention to both cosmetic and
mechanical details. Documentation includes the original Broadcast
Sheet and Trim Tag, and it has been recorded in the MMC Detroit
Global vehicle registry.
