This custom 1957 Volvo TP21 radio command car is powered by a 572ci
Chevrolet V8 engine rated at 620 hp and 650 ft/lbs of torque, with
a TH475 automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Powertrain
details include the big-block V8 replacement for the original 90hp
unit and the TH475 automatic. Interior features include GPS
navigation, a retractable LCD television in the rear seat area, a
TracVision mobile satellite system, a PlayStation 4 console and a
power retractable beverage cooler in the trunk, as well as another
LCD television and exterior speakers. Exterior and chassis details
include power steering and air conditioning, along with a
configuration based on the Swedish military TP21 produced from
about 1953 to 1958 and nicknamed "Sugga" by soldiers. Documentation
and other notes include a feature appearance at the 2018 SEMA Show
in Las Vegas and historical production of approximately 720
examples, with a small number surviving.
