This 1938 Ford Tudor custom sedan is powered by a rebuilt
late-model Ford 53AB Flathead V8 engine featuring high-compression
heads, a three-quarter race cam, an Edmonds intake and a new Holley
Quick Fuel 4-barrel carburetor. Supporting components include an
electric fuel pump, new aluminum radiator and custom exhaust
system. Power is delivered through a 5-speed manual transmission.
The car began with an all-steel body that underwent a complete
frame-off restoration and extensive customization. The headlights,
taillights and antenna were frenched and tunneled into the body,
and the drip rails were removed for a smooth, seamless appearance.
The original porcelain Ford logo was frenched into the front of the
hood, while a custom Ford oval third brake light were added above
the trunk lid. The door hinges were flipped and hidden, the front
fenders and lower grille were crafted into one piece, and the top
of the grille and side panels were formed as a single unit. Rear
fenders were blended into the body, and the exterior was finished
in Ford Candy Apple Red. Inside, the custom dash was built from the
original and integrated into the doors. The car features a
completely new custom interior, all-new glass and power windows.
