This matching-numbers 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge is powered by an
XP-code 400ci Ram Air IV V8 engine rated at 370hp at 5,500 rpm and
445 ft/lbs of torque at 3,600 rpm. One of only 72 RAM Air IV GTO
Judges produced in 1970 with a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed automatic
transmission, this example is equipped with a Safe-T-Track
heavy-duty differential with 3.90 gears, power steering and power
brakes with front discs. The Ram Air IV featured round-port
cylinder heads, a high-lift hydraulic camshaft with 1.65:1 rocker
arms, an aluminum intake manifold with a separate heat crossover
and a specially calibrated Rochester Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor.
The engine also included 4-bolt main caps and special cast-iron
exhaust headers feeding a dual exhaust system. Additional equipment
includes a hood-mounted tachometer, Soft Ray tinted windshield,
pushbutton radio, console with floor-mounted shifter and factory
Rally II steel wheels. The original points-and-condenser
distributor accompanies the car. This GTO retains its original Body
Tag and is finished in Orbit Orange with a black interior. It has
received a concours-level rotisserie restoration, including a
detailed undercarriage that replicates factory inspection markings
and paper tags. Assembled in Arlington, TX, and delivered new to
Harrison-White Pontiac in Florence, AL, this Judge includes Pontiac
Historic Services (PHS) paperwork and includes a Window Sticker.
